Maria Adelma M. Montejo is the Knowledge Management Associate of the Philippine Development Assistance Programme, Inc. Prior to that, she worked as University Research Associate of the University of the Philippines Manila Center for Gender and Women Studies and as researcher-writer for Isis International Manila, a regional NGO specializing on women, media and ICT. Ms Montejo also worked for Caritas Philippines, first as a researcher-writer, then as publication and communications coordinator.
Ms Montejo finished her master's degree in Women and Development from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2009. Her master's thesis is about the decades-long struggle of ambulant women vendors in the Calapan City public market. Ms Montejo also has an undergraduate degree in Journalism.
Ms Montejo also does research and consultancy work for various national and international development organizations.
